Lincoln hydraulics firm expanding into bigger premises in Witham St Hughs

A Lincoln hydraulics business established over half a century ago is preparing to move into a new premises in May as it continues to expand.
Pearson Hydraulics Limited has grown from a small counter trade business to ‘one of the largest independent design and distribution hydraulics companies in the UK’.
It has also grown to now have depots at Grantham, Norwich, Taunton, Plymouth, Exeter, Barnstaple, and soon to be Gateshead in mid-May.
The business has been going in Lincoln 59 years and on May 9, 2023, it will move from its current base on Outer Circle Road to a new premises at Unit 2/3 on Electric Avenue in Witham St Hughs.

Some £500,000 has been invested into the new building on equipment, racking and office space, and there is a greater stock holding for customers.
Pearson Hydraulics will benefit from the new 40,000 square foot unit, which offers a 50% increase in floorspace and 100% in building height.

The new premises also has 4,000 square feet of modern office space and a new trade counter area.
There will also continue to be a 24/7 mobile engineer service.
Moving to the new premises will also enable more efficient operation and better technical resources to improve its customer service even further.

George Dring, Operations Manager for Pearson Hydraulics, said: “We have been planning to move since before COVID due to the organic growth of the business. We are extremely excited to get into the newer and larger premises at Witham St Hughs.
“It will see a great amount of investment in new racking, workshops, office space and job opportunities. You will continue to get first class customer service with great product knowledge. The trade counter will also be moving to Witham St Hughs, so please pop in and see us.”

Pearson Hydraulics joined the R&G Fluid Power Group in 2017 and has become the national distribution centre serving the other group hydraulic companies nationwide.
The firm’s move to the new premises will also generate at least five jobs over the coming months. The IT team for R&G is located at the new premises and this has created an extra three new jobs.

The new premises will also offer greater staff welfare facilities, and the new location on the main A46 also provides great access to major road networks.
The new premises in Witham St Hughs will be open Monday to Friday between 8am and 4.30pm.
