Belvoir Castle lit up blue for NHS

A big thank you to NHS staff

A castle in Grantham was lit up in NHS blue on Thursday in tribute to the amazing work being done by frontline workers during the coronavirus crisis.

Belvoir Castle posted a photo of the illuminated castle on its Facebook page with the words “Thank you NHS” followed by a blue heart.

People around the county clapped for NHS staff, carers and others key workers on Thursday night, including fire engines and police officers who gathered outside the ‘chalk house’ in Cherry Willingham.

Emergency services are clearly making this a bit of a regular thing, having spent last week’s clap at a ‘rainbow house’ in Lincoln.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Castle’s dragon Dennis also showed his support with a message for the NHS.
