A total of four candidates will fight it out to become Lincolnshire’s next Police and Crime Commissioner.

The election takes place on Thursday, May 5, with the results counted the following day to see who will take over from current PCC Alan Hardwick, who is not standing for re-election.

The deadline for nominations expired at 4pm on April 7, with voters having until April 18 to register to vote.

A fourth candidate, Lincolnshire Independent Daniel Simpson, was revealed at the eleventh hour as the deadline for nominations ended.

Daniel Simpson is a local businessman and has been a councillor in previous years, including Chairman of the East Lindsey Independent Councillors.
