A man who ‘grossly abused his position of trust’ as a sports coach, sexually abusing five teenage boys, and a man who carried out a campaign of sexual abuse against three children, were among the paedophiles to be handed the longest jail sentences in 2019.
Judges in the county handed out prison sentences to over 30 paedophiles this year, ranging from two to 30 years in jail.

A man who ‘grossly abused his position of trust’ as a sports coach, sexually abusing five teenage boys, was found guilty of a catalogue of historic sexual offences and jailed for 30 years.
Dylan Lamb, of Scawby, North Lincolnshire, was found guilty of guilty of the following offences: eleven counts of indecent assault, five counts of indecency with a child and five counts of other additional sexual offences. The victims were all aged between 13 and 17, or below, when the abuse occurred.

A Stamford man who carried out a campaign of sexual abuse against three children was jailed for 24 years.
Michael Brian Hayes was convicted of 18 sexual offences, including six charges of rape. The offences occurred over an eight year period between 2008 and 2015.

A dangerous Lincolnshire man admitted sexually abusing three young girls, was jailed for 17 years.
Edward Church, of Crowland, raped one of his victims in a car when she was just 12-years-old. A jury at Lincoln Crown Court found Church guilty of the rape which occurred ten years ago. He also admitted seven charges of indecent assault on two other young girls, which occurred in the early 2000s when Church was living in a village between Sleaford and Grantham.

A man who filmed himself raping and sexually abusing a young girl was jailed for 16 years after being branded as dangerous by a judge at Lincoln Crown Court.
Matthew Beattie from Langworth was only caught years later when the films he had catalogued were discovered.

A paedophile who raped one of his victims and told her he would kill her if she told anyone has been jailed for 14 years.
Barry Wrightson was convicted of two offences of rape and six others concerning sexual activity with a child. He denied all charges and was cleared only of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
A man in his 60s previously living in Cleethorpes was jailed for 14 years after being found guilty of rape and indecent assault.
Alan Shepherd, formerly of Brereton Road in Cleethorpes, was on trial at Hull Crown Court charged with multiple sexual offences against several victims.
A pensioner from Ingoldmells convicted of sex attacks on three young girls, including one younger than seven, was jailed for 11 and a half years.
Robert Price was told by Judge Andrew Easteal that he poses a significant danger to young children. The judge was told that since being convicted by a jury Price has continued to claim he is innocent.

A paedophile who carried out sex attacks on two young girls, aged five and seven, was jailed for 10 years after being branded as dangerous by a judge.
Nathan Pedge, of no fixed address, was given an extended sentence by Judge Simon Hirst which means that he will have to serve at least two-thirds of his jail term before he can be considered for release by the Parole Board. Pedge was also given an extended licence of three years, which means that if he is released early he will remain on licence until March 2032 during which time he will be at risk of being returned to prison.

A man from Spalding was jailed for eight years after being found guilty of sexual offences against young girls.
William Carr was found guilty by a jury of one count of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration. He was also found guilty of five counts of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 by touching.

A Lincoln man was jailed for eight years after he was found guilty of the sexual abuse of four children in the 1990s.
Stephen Winter, of Waddington, Lincoln, “refused to take responsibility for his actions” but was found guilty of six counts of incident assault at Nottingham Crown Court in April.
The founder of a Lincolnshire choir was jailed for eight years after he was found guilty of sex attacks on a teenage boy.
Andrew Clingo, of Langtoft, who was musical director of the Handful of Harmonies Choir and is a former primary school teacher, was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for life and given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

A pervert who put a 14-year-old schoolgirl through a four hour sex ordeal was jailed for eight years.
Ryan Hiller, also known as Ryan Ayers, groomed the teenager online after making contact with her on the Whisper app. Hiller persuaded the girl to send him naked photographs of herself and also sent her a photograph of his genitals.

A man who systematically sexually abused a young girl was jailed for eight years.
Keith Gray, who began abusing the girl when she was just seven years old, was told by Judge Simon Hirst that the sentence would have been longer but the law meant he was restricted by the maximum sentence in place at the time the offences were committed.
A man convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage girl for his own gratification was jailed for seven years.
Philip Evans was found guilty of three charges at the end of a jury trial. The jury were told how he kissed the girl and persuaded her to touch him and on one occasion had sex with her.
A former North Wales school teacher from Lincolnshire was jailed for seven years after being convicted of abusing two men when they were children.
Michael Blackburn was accused of abusing two men when they were children in the 1970s and 1980s, but the victims cannot be identified for legal reasons.

John Armitage, of Gainsborough, who previously served a jail sentence for offences against two young girls, was sentenced to five years and nine months in prison.

A pervert used fake social media profiles to threaten young girls into sending him naked photographs of themselves.
Rhys Lynn, of Cherry Willingham, told his victims that he would distribute images of them that he had already obtained. He threatened to rape a 15-year-old if she did not comply. He was jailed for five years and four months.
A young man who had sex with a vulnerable 15-year-old girl on Skegness beach was jailed for five years.
The young girl first got in touch with Timothy Young, then 23 years old, on Facebook before he later travelled from his Nottinghamshire home to start a sexual relationship.

A man living in Sleaford has been jailed for four and a half years for sexual and indecent assaults in Lincolnshire and Warwickshire, including touching a teenage babysitter under her clothes.
John Anthony Hall appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Wednesday, December 4.
Hall assaulted a young 13-year-old girl in Rugby, Warwickshire at a house where she was babysitting and sat on the sofa next to her. He reportedly went on to touch her under her clothes and rub his body against hers.

A grandfather who persuaded a vulnerable 12-year-old girl to send him explicit photographs of herself was jailed for four years after a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court.
David Brown, of Gainsborough, got in touch with the girl via an app connected with Facebook and went on to ask for a topless photograph.

David Parker was jailed and given a lifetime sexual harm prevention order. He pleaded to offences of attempting to arrange/facilitate the commission of a child sex offence at an earlier court appearance.

A Lincolnshire man who requested sexual pictures from three under-age girls after pretending to be a teenage boy was jailed for three years and eight months.
Francis Mowday, of Manby, had previously pleaded guilty to five charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity involving three different girls aged 12, 13 and 14 on dates between February 1 and September 7, 2017. He also admitted a single charge of sexual communication with a child and three charges of making a total of 459 indecent images of a child.
A Louth man has been jailed after he pleaded guilty to sex offences involving children.
Jamie Lee Tye was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court after he pleaded guilty to exposing himself to a boy, three counts of making class A indecent images and breach of a sexual harm prevention order. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
A student who secretly took indecent photographs of children in their classroom at a primary school was jailed for 26 months.
Lewis Croft, who was on a work placement at the school as part of a college course, took hundreds of photographs without staff or the children realising what he was doing.

A convicted sex offender from Stamford was caught in a sting operation when he linked up with what he thought was a 14-year-old boy on the Grindr app.
Matthew Verity contacted the “boy” and, despite being told he was only 14, discussed what he would like to do sexually to the boy. He was jailed for two years.
